Our Approach
At BCG CPAs we believe taxes require planning just like retirement and wealth management. If you only think about your taxes at tax filing time, and don't think about them any other time of the year, you are missing out on potential savings and strategies to help you plan for your future. We want to get to know you and your goals so we can best serve you.
We are not just a tax preparation firm. We are a partner in your taxes and your future. We will provide you with your federal, state, and local returns as applicable, a tax projection for the current year, and estimated taxes based on your tax projection. At a minimum, we require all of our clients to have a tax meeting in person, on the phone, or virtually at least once a year between September and November so we can be sure to update your tax projections before the end of the year.
We don't want to be surprised when we process your return and neither do you!
Our process is fully digital and we are a hybrid based firm. We do have a physical office located in Dublin, OH but we serve clients from all over the country. Because we have remote employees, appointments are required which can be scheduled using the link at the top of the page. We offer in person, virtual, and phone meetings.
You will be set up with a secure client portal where you can sign your engagement letter, complete your organizer, upload your documents, view and sign your tax return, and communicate with our team via chat. Although our process is fully digital we do still accept physical documents as well. We will scan your documents in for you prior to processing your return.
As we progress through the preparation of your return, you will receive status updates from the portal letting you know where we are in the process so you can have peace of mind. Once your return is entered and reviewed by one of our seasoned tax professionals, you will receive a notification that your return is available for review in your portal and your e-file authoration is available to sign. You will also have the opportunity to set up a 30 minute tax return review session to go over the major items impacting your taxes and ask any questions you have.
